Cherry Blossoms

The sun hits the flowers

And they shine

A shade of pink

So rare it’s almost

Undefined

But fleeting?

Blink

And it disappears

The flowers

Crushed underneath

Rushing feet

Until they are

Forever?

Gone

They lasted but a week

We wait
Patiently?

For them to return

Day to week

Week to month

Month to year

And then we simply

mourn?
