Tripped and Fell

Tim Halvorsen '17
I have known you my life.
You were there, then you were not.
Before your leave you told me that, and how wonder filled me then.
The years pass by, I hear this and that.
People come and go as the seasons do.
And we joke, we kid.
We write and sing and play and talk.
We do not know, but here and there, we lose what once we felt and shared.
Our lives are filled, but even so, I find myself thinking of you, in times unknown.
We will see each other soon, that I know.
What you will see, I cannot tell.
What I will see will remind me of the years ago, when I laughed and failed, and tripped and fell.
